Magazines…alive n’ well?
If you go into your local grocery store or drug store, you’ll notice the continued shrinking of the magazine rack. The dwindling of magazine titles is concerning to this long-time lover of print. In 2016, print magazine sales declined by 12 percent. Imagine my surprise to recently walk into Tops Friendly Markets to see a monsterous magazine rack with tons of publications waiting to go home with shoppers. The store’s commitment of valued space to publications might be a sign that the printed piece will survive.
