A VISIT TO: the wild and whimsical Circle Museum

During a recent visit to the Hudson Valley region, we made a trek out on some quiet hillside roads to visit the Circle Museum in Austerlitz, NY. We didn’t know what to expect, as there are not volumes of information about this place. The informal place is part art studio and part sculpture garden. It’s so informal that there is an old fish tank that is used to collect donations upon entrance. There must be 100 sculptures on-site, that are made of scrap industrial pieces of metal scattered on the lawn and in the forest. An interesting visit, for sure.
