A visit to…the impressive University of Wyoming Art Museum
On a recent excursion to Laramie, Wyoming, we paid a visit to the impressive University of Wyoming Art Museum. There were several great exhibitions hanging. It was a wonderful surprise. The level of works being exhibited were top-notch and provided an amazing visit.
A few highlights. I loved the large-scale photography exhibit called, “Women in Wyoming.” We sat and watched the very excellent short illustration film “Second-Hand Reading” by William Kentridge. I was most excited to see legendary contemporary art collectors, Herb & Dorothy Vogel’s “Fifty Works for Fifty States” collection that was given to the museum. There were several other exhibits in this large and architecturally stimulating museum. We can’t wait to return on our next visit to Laramie.
