Gerard Malanga reads “Bernadette Mayer, poet-wordster.”

Last Friday night, Anna and Doug Sitler had dinner with Gerard Malanga at the always delightful Annarella Ristorante in Saugerties, NY. After the wonderful meal, the Sitlers dropped Gerard off at his house around 10:00 p.m. The following morning, Gerard called Doug and said that he was up several times throughout the night, working on a poem about a long-time friend. A few hours later, Gerard and Anna & Doug went to brunch at a great spot – Willa’s Bakery Cafe, in Catskill. After a delicious experience, Gerard, Anna and Doug went to a nearby riverside park to film Gerard reading his newest poem – written just hours before.
