Dean Brownrout is a big deal

A few photos from Buffalo’s Fitz Books salon event featuring author Dean Brownrout discussing his wonderful memoir “No Big Deal,” which traverses his career as a promoter and music industry veteran. The event was moderated by artist Julian Montague, who is a big deal in his own right. Starting out as a new wave and punk promoter in Buffalo in the early 1980s, Brownrout moved to New York City where he literall wore every hat in the music business – including founder of Big Deal Records. At the event, a very humble Brownrout told incredible stories of his work behind the scenes with some of the biggest names in the record biz. It was a wonderful and inspirational way to spend a snowy evening in the Queen City.
